i know i dont really post in this but lately i have seen a lot of variations of the same phrase in a lot of away messages or facebook statuses and im just trying to figure out why.
in the past week i have seen dozens of away messages stating that someone is "trying to look hot or attempting to look hot, and then going out". Now this frustrates me beyond words. Mostly because these away messages belong to some of the most beautiful girls and women that i know, but also because of the notion that we all are insecure about the way we look everyday. Every girl while getting ready does her best to look pretty, look hot, look alluring and after the thousands of poses in the mirror and most likely an absurd amount of time getting ready (a number that if anybody knew about we would probably not be able to show our faces) we go out and hope for the best.
i just want people to realize that you are what you are and if you are insecure its okay, but instead of publicizing your insecurities, look in the mirror and say. hey i am hot.

So yah i'm auditioning for American Idol next weekend and i have no idea what to sing.
I was maybe thinking of singing crazy by gnarls barkley in a more jazzy/pop way.
Any other ideas? im a mezzo and would prefer not to belt above a high C

So....saturday morning i went to get harry potter in my Pjs, but seeing as it was a beautiful day i spent it outside playing and then later on having a glorious fiesta of sorts that turned into a 4am lovefest.
Thus i awoke this morning (sunday morning) still roughly 80 pages shy of finishing half blood prince (for the third time) as i thought it would be best to go directly from half blood to deathly hallows. I began reading at noon. finished HBP by 1:30 or so with minimal interupption and opened book seven, i almost didnt want to because i knew that was the last time i ever get to open a brand new harry potter book to read it for the first time.
i wanted to make it last. maybe take a few days, but seeing as how a bunch of dumb fuckers (you know who you are) have posted telling things about the book all over the internet, their away messages, lj's, and facebook (and really you guys can suck a nut for doing that one....facebook...really?) i have decided on finishing the book tonight. i have now been reading on and off with minimal breaks for 14 hours...and i just found out what the deathly hallows are (thanks j.k)...i dont have to work tommorow.

So kids...i try not to use this as a soapbox but in this case it is necccesary.
Today i got hit by a car.
I was obeying all the traffic laws, i had the light, and i got hit by a car.
I also was not wearing a helmet.
By some miracle i was rushed to the ER and there was nothing broken and nothing to bad done to my body aside from some cuts and what will tommorow by some REDICULOUS bruising.
I cannot believe how lucky i am. If that guy had been going faster than 7 miles an hour, or if i had fallen a different way things may not have turned out so great. And the one thing people kept telling me was you should wear a helmet.
honestly the only reason i wasn't was because i dont have one at school and didnt wanna spend 20 bucks to buy one.but you can bet i will alway wear one from now on.
and this Public Service Announcement is just so everyone is aware that people really do get hit by dumb ass fuckers in cars all the time, and (at the risk of sounding corny) it can save your life |

everything is absolutely nutso right now!!
im just throwin it out there.
as of 5pm tommorow i will officially be on break and im really excited to see a lot of old faces...people i havnt seen in so long because i was so freakin busy this semester...and even people who i have seen in the past 4 months...i'll be glad to have a whole month with them. my last christmas break (that will be of any decent length).
its so strange to rewind to August 24th....
the day i said goodbye to summer...i remember thinking about how hard i thought these 4 months were gunna be (there were some really hard times) and it seemed as if december and christmas were never gunna come, but they are here SO fast its made my head spin and i almost dont know what to do with myself anymore.
any suggestions?
